Well, I think the stamp is good. And your point is valid, but I'd like to point out that it's not just Obama that does such things, but all authority figures. Let's face it, we can't put money into a project to fix stuff if there's no money to be had. Just a fact of life.

No hate comments from me - I agree with you. This guy says one thing and does another, so I can only conclude that he is a pathological liar. He is attempting to turn the country into a fascist state complete with his own Obama youth and snitches. He's never been employed and had to really work for a paycheck in his entire life, yet he thinks he knows more about General Motors and Chrysler than anyone else. He constantly lectures our allies - although Mr. Putin stood him up against the wall and gave Obama a lecture. Even the Chinese, who can hardly be called capitalists, lectured Obama on his running up the deficit. Iran, Libya and N. Korea laugh at Obama. So I conclude he is also incompetent.

Now, with his wishy-washy back and forth statements about health care I believe he is a weak president. Pelosi seems to be able to lead him around. I figured Obama would channel Jimmy Carter and he has. Maybe he will also go into one-term oblivion like Carter.

Let me know if I help with attracting the hate mail! I love going out to the lefty blogs and telling them the truth - I call it drive-by blogging. But you have to be careful doing it - at least one of them tried to send a virus to me after I posted on their website.

I'm not inclined to get into a debate about the history of politicians, but most politicians have, and most likely always will, say whatever they can to get as many votes as possible. And I certainly wouldn't say that most people have figured that out by now, because most people don't pay attention to what's being said during elections and whatnot, and are charmed by rhetoric or are won over by party loyalty (like my grandmother, who will unerringly vote Republican no matter what they say).

And if most people knew and understood that one quote, I would be a much happier person.
